Choose life. Choose a lake. Choose a swim. Choose a bait. Choose a rig. Choose sleepless nights under the stars. Choose the nocturnal music of branches creaking in the wind, leaves whispering, and the eerie night-calls of owls and wildfowl. Choose bright moons shattered in the rippling surface of lakes, and purple skies at sunset perfectly mirrored. Choose silent mist-shrouded pools at dawn. Choose visions of white-flowering waterlilies turning green-gold in the half-light. Choose the flashing bronze flanks of carp, twisting below the surface, on the edge of visibility. Choose a heightened heart-rate. Choose an emotional rollercoaster. Choose the psychological assault-course of planning, watching, locating, preparing, casting and waiting. Choose the endless hours of strung-out anticipation. Choose the rush of striking, hooking, fighting, and landing (or losing) the fish. Choose to walk the tightrope between desperate failure and the adrenaline-inducing, life-enhancing triumphant high of success. Choose life. Choose obsession. Choose Carp Fishing.

Nick Burrage - Cold Nights, Early bites

First bite of this weeks run of stunner's, quite unusual in the way it has a two tone belly?? (Never seen one like this before)
All taken on Gardner end tackle including Mugga size 6 and Trickster 20lb silt hooklink; they seemed a bit moody but a bed of Trigga Ice did the trick!!

My morning 31lb 15oz common!
Taken after a move across the lake; Mugged and Triggered.... Bet she didn't see that coming??

Ebro Overnighters

Just got back from a nice short trip to the ebro with my mate ditch (ebro Mad Cats)

With my fights not arriving till late it was dark by the time I got to the river so we set up camp at ebro mad cats base for the night to see what the river was like.

didn't take long for the first fish to come out when the sun started to rise

Second night we headed up river to Escatron, the river was well low and all night fish was showing but morning came without a bite

Third night we headed down river abit to Mequinenza to meet up with Gary Bayes as he had bagged a 200lb+ cat so thought it was worth ago.

Same again fish showing all night but another blank was on the cards..

After no fish for the last two nights we headed back to Riba and set our rods back up at ebro mad cats.

Just felt right here for a few bites and it didn't take long before we had a screaming run on the cat rod which was loaded with four 20mm nash tangerine dream boilies.
With a epic bank battle and line running out on the reel we had no choice but to get in the boat and chase the beast down river. After 45mins Ditch grabbed the cat and it was in the boat with us, what a fight best fight I've ever had from a fish and first one I've ever caught from a boat.

New PB cat Happy Days :)

Second night the swim was baited again and bang on the same time as last night the rod ripped off again with another hard fighting cat. 83lb this one weighed not as big as the last one but was just nice to get a few bigguns wile most of the other parts of the river was fishing shit.

Big Fish Spots - Chris Appleby

There are bite spots and then there are big fish bite spots......
If you think this complete bollox, you need to pay more attention in your angling and try and recognise the difference.
If your happy just getting bites, ignore all the above.
